Lyngen Alpine Cruise

Join our cruise along Ullsfjord in the heart of the spectacular Lyngen Alps. You will experience this alpine landscape from a unique, amphibious perspective, with ample opportunity to observe the rural roads and villages which support human habitation here despite exposure to the harsh Arctic climate and snow avalanches.

A comfortable boat ride will facilitate both professional and informal discussions while we gain insight into both the challenges and solutions involved with managing avalanche risk in this high-relief fjord landscape. A conference host will introduce you to local skiers, guides, road owners, municipal councilors, and suppliers of high-tech monitoring systems, all of whom will share their experiences from living and working in Lyngen. You can choose whether you want to follow this floating talk show live from the ship’s stage, on tv-screens elsewhere on board, or by simply standing outside on the deck basking in the natural splendor while listening to the talks on the outdoor loudspeakers.
